The following is a list of State Assisted substance abuse treatment programs. Not One More Alabama is not endorsing one program over another but rather is providing this list as a resource. State Assisted programs vary in scope and type. Some include medically managed detox programs, some are short term programs and others are long term programs. Some provide clinical services where others are primarily sober living type programs. It is important that individuals do their research and find out the type of services provided. The State of Alabama has an online resource titled the Substance Abuse Services provider Directory (link below). Many of the state assisted programs are listed in this directory which includes a listing of services provided by each program. State assisted programs receive state funding which allows the program to offer their services at reduced or free rates. Some programs provide sliding scale fees.
