With our community's generous support, NOMA has reached thousands of individuals who have been impacted by addiction. The pandemic further validated our mission to support, educate and inspire individuals and families who need it now more than ever. We welcome any donation, large or small; one time donation or monthly recurring donations. We have been humbled by the many birthday fundraisers through social media. And the large corporate donations have allowed us to offer our services free to the public. NOMA is a volunteer-operated 501c3 non-profit organization. Please consider a donation today.

YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES!

Picture
Together with UAB Family Medicine and Auburn School of Pharmacy, individuals in our community have on-hand NARCAN (Naloxone), the lifesaving opioid reversal medication. One mother’s powerful message puts NOMA’s purpose in perspective:
Monday night my son injected fentanyl. He had not used in a year. I received the little red bag from your event. I am a nurse clinician and was sure he was dead. Remembering the Narcan, I used both inhalers while waiting on the ambulance. He survived because of your outreach to the community. He has a long and winding road but now he has another chance. Thank you so much. God bless you.

YOUR SUPPORT PROVIDES OUR COMMUNITY WITH TRAINED PARENT COACHES

Picture
In collaboration with the Partnership to End Addiction, NOMA armed our local community with 17 Parent Coaches trained in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training). CRAFT is an evidence-based practice that families can use to support a loved one's treatment and recovery. Families who have been impacted by addiction often find comfort in connecting with someone who has been through a similar situation.

YOUR SUPPORT PROVIDES COMFORT TO GRIEVING FAMILIES

NOMA partnered with the Addiction Prevention Coalition and the Drug Education Council of Mobile to host our 2nd Grief Support Workshop for those who have lost loved ones to addiction. We also partnered with these organizations to provide multiple FREE Community Education Programs.

YOUR SUPPORT HELPS TO LIFT THE STIGMA OF ADDICTION

Picture
For the fifth consecutive year, NOMA has sponsored a flagship tree on Downtown Huntsville's Tinsel Trail. The NOMA Angel Tree is adorned with photos of beautiful souls lost to the disease of addiction. Part of our mission is to comfort families by honoring the memory of their loved one. We want to acknowledge the life they lived and the years we lost due to a preventable, treatable disease.
