End Addiction HSV is more than a walk.
- It is an opportunity for people to connect with resources and other individuals who have lived similar experiences.
- It is a place for families to remember loved-ones lost to accidental overdose or addiction. Many bring photos and write messages on a Memorial Wall.
- It is a FREE Community Event. Everyone is invited to join us.
- It is an opportunity to receive FREE NALOXONE and training to use the overdose reversing drug.
Haley Baker's news career spans 15 years in television news and freelance medical journalism. She joined the WAFF 48 team in February 2018.
Her successful career, striking appearance, loving husband and two beautiful children paint a picture-perfect life, however, addiction does not discriminate. It creeps in like a thief and threatens to destroy everything in its path.
Haley regained control of her addiction to alcohol when she took the bold step to ask for help three years ago. She took another brave step when she chose the Walk to speak for the first time publicly about her struggle with addiction. She has a remarkable, relatable story and we are certain she touched many lives by sharing it Saturday.

Recovery Circle
Recovery gives us a reason to celebrate and inspires HOPE. The Recovery Circle has become an important, emotional part of the End Addiction Walk. Saturday we celebrated every person who came forward with 35 years all the way down to 24 hours. We celebrate and support you! Special thanks to NOMA Board Member Carla Bugg who has led the Recovery Circle for years.

Fundraising Teams
The End Addiction HSV Walk is an opportunity for groups to form fundraising teams to raise funds to support the mission of Not One More Alabama (NOMA).
Since 2016, NOMA volunteers have been inspiring hope to the many people impacted by addiction by providing educational programs, fellowship opportunities, resources and support for individuals and their families.

Since 2016, NOMA volunteers have been inspiring hope to the many people impacted by addiction by providing educational programs, fellowship opportunities, resources and support for individuals and their families.
Fundraising teams serve many purposes:
- They help raise awareness of the deadly overdose epidemic that has taken so many lives
- Help to lift the stigma associated with alcohol and substance use disorders
- Honors the lives of loved-ones lost
- Connects people to each other and resources
- Allows NOMA to grow its mission of support, education and inspiration
A special thanks to those who helped capture the positive energy generated at the End Addiction HSV Walk, especially Stephanie Jennings Photography and Drew Callner, West Block Studios Videography.
We could not succeed without our volunteers! THANK YOU!
Below is just a snapshot of the volunteers scattered around the park working the resource area, t-shirts, food service, tattoos, memorial area, photos, icing down water and keeping the park clean.
Special thanks to NOMA Volunteer Coordinator Ginny Murray who works tirelessly to match volunteers with all NOMA events.

New this year: What color is your WHY?
Walk attendees could choose a fan in the color of red, purple or yellow. Each color represents a reason "why" to attend the End Addiction HSV Walk. Red fans represent support of the mission of Not One More Alabama; Purple fans are for those honoring someone who lost their battle with addiction; Yellow fans are carried by someone who is recovering out loud.
